Subscription Update Obituary

      Margaret “Peg” E. (Ackerman) Brunnett, 90, formerly of Pleasant Street, died Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the Life Care Center of Auburn. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Robert J. Brunnett; her daughter, Diane M. Berube who died in 2003; and two brothers, Richard and Thomas “Buster” Ackerman. She is survived by her son, Daniel R. Brunnett of Leicester; three grandchildren, Vicki, Melanie, and Ron; seven great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; Diane R. Keenan of Oxford, who she considered as a daughter, and her husband Harold Keenan; four brothers, five sisters, and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late George and Hilda (Dyson) Ackerman, and lived in Worcester before spending most of her life in Leicester and Rochdale.

Mrs. Brunnett worked at Carlton Woolen Mill in Rochdale for 20 years, retiring in 1994. In addition, she worked at M.K.M. in Rochdale for 15 years. She was a member of the Leicester Senior Center, was active with the Leicester Housing Authority, and enjoyed playing bingo at Foxwoods.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 35 School St, Auburn. Burial will be private at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942, or to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 35 School St., Auburn, MA 01501. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
