Maeve N. ( Hastings ) Becker, 90, passed away peacefully in UMASS Memorial Medical Center on February 17, 2022 . She leaves her husband of 53 years- Richard Becker; siblings Fr. Miceal Hastings, Sally Ui Bhearra, and Bridjo Quinlan; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Sean Hastings, Tadg Hastings, Maura La Comfora, Aine Hayde, Liam Hastings, and Peigi McNally.

Maeve was born in Derrymore, Westport Co Mayo , Ireland daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Malone) Hastings. She worked as a Quality Assurance Supervisor at Astra Pharmaceutical for many years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and enjoyed gardening and going for walks.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park Paxton. Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maeve’s memory may be made to Immaculate Conception Church.
