Subscription Update Obituary

     Madeline B. (Caffarelli) Cove Fredrikson, 95, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Worcester after an illness. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John and Anna (Pelletiere) Caffarelli and graduated from Commerce High School.

Madeline leaves her loving husband of 52 years, Schuyler “Sky” M. Fredrikson; two sons, Michael Cove and his wife, Roberta of Winter Haven, FL and John Fredrikson and his wife, Regina of Londonderry, NH; five daughters, Maureen G. Samra and her husband, Roy of Shrewsbury, Jane Butkevich and her husband, Paul of Sterling, Debra Foxworthy and her husband, James of Scottsdale, AZ, Margaret Foley and her husband, Stephen of Webster and Carol Emond and her husband, Van of Douglas; twenty grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Philip Caffarelli; four sisters, Deloris Harmon, Rose Richards, Marie Crowe and Lenora Dunne; and a great-grandson, Bryan Rossik.

Madeline was an inspector for seventeen years at Sprague Electric retiring in 1981 and later worked as a hostess at Barbers Crossing in Worcester until the young age of eighty. She enjoyed cooking, bingo, coloring, and singing and was a self taught piano player. She will be sadly missed.

Madeline’s family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation for the care and compassion provided by the staff of the Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and a special thank you to Fr. Ephraim Peters for his kindness, care and support.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A private committal service will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 300 Barber Ave., Worcester, MA 01606.
