Subscription Update Obituary

Madeleine Joan Erickson (LeBlanc) was born on October 31, 1938, in Worcester, MA, and peacefully passed away on July 12, 2023, at the age of 84 in Millbury, MA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother known for her generous and loving nature and her dedication to helping others.

Madeleine is survived by her devoted spouse of 65 years, Kenneth J. Erickson, and their children Kenneth P. (wife Danielle), Stephen (wife Kathy), Lynne , Mark (wife Dawn), and Scott. She is also survived by her brother Donald LeBlanc, sister Valerie Jackson, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Madeleine was preceded in death by her Mother Bella (Langevin) LeBlanc, Father Rene LeBlanc, and brother Roger LeBlanc.

Madeleine received her education at Holy Name Primary School and St. Stephen’s High School. She went on to have a successful career as an Accounting Manager at Interstate Collections and was an advocate for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). Additionally, she served as a manager at the Junior League of Worcester.

Madeleine was a member of Assumption Parish in Millbury. She was also actively involved in various organizations, including the Millbury Mother’s Club, Millbury Lions, Red Hat Club, Millbury Little League, and Pee Wee Basketball.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Madeleine’s life during a visitation on Thursday, July 20th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, located at 45 N. Main St. in Millbury.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, July 21st, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Madeleine’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, NAMI, or Dana-Farber

Madeleine Erickson will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community will forever be cherished.
