Subscription Update Obituary

     M. Patricia Ann (Mooney) Vigliatura, 82, of Worcester, passed away peacefully Friday, February 14, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

     Born in Auburn on July 21, 1931, she was the oldest daughter of Richard F. and Mary L. (Daley) Mooney.

     She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert J. Vigliatura; her son, Robert Vigliatura Jr.; her daughter, Carol Jean Law and her husband Rick; her four grandchildren, Gina Vigliatura, Diane O’Grady, Michael O’Grady and his wife Christina, and Kara Ewick and her husband Joseph; her sister, Carol Buccini and her husband Donald; and many nieces and nephews.

     Patricia worked at the UMass Medical Center for more than 25 years. She retired in 1998 as a senior buyer.

     She loved spending her retirement vacationing in Dennisport on Cape Cod and loved seafood as much as the ocean. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren, and spending time gardening, cooking, doing crosswords and dancing.

     Calling hours are Sunday, February 16 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, The funeral will be Monday, February 17 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton will be private.

     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen St., Framingham 01701.
