Lum J. Hargrove, 85, of Worcester, died September 4th in St. Vincent Hospital. His wife of 58 years, Mozella (Coleman) Hargrove died in 2012. He is survived by his two daughters, Glenda McShan and Jacqui Hargrove both of Worcester; a brother Clifton Hargrove of Duncanville, AL; his sister, Lottie Ball of Boston; two grandsons, Torrence L. of Worcester and Terrell J. of Boston and many nephews, nieces and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, son-in-law, eight brothers and three sisters.

He was born in Duncanville, AL the son of Thurman and Oalia (May) Hargrove. He had been employed as a hammer man at Wyman and Gordon for over 30 years before retiring. Lum was a long time member of the John Street Baptist Church.

His funeral is Tuesday, September 11th at 11:00 a.m. in John Street Baptist Church, 43 John Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. His calling hours are Monday, September 10th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
