Subscription Update Obituary

Lorraine T. Derosier, passed away on December 8, 2022. Born September 13, 1931, to the late, George and Victoria Brissette, in Spencer, MA. Lorraine was married to the late, Charles H. Derosier who passed in 1979. She was preceded in death by her younger brothers, George, Ronald, Kenneth, and Richard Brissette. She is survived by her youngest brother, Thomas Brissette; her daughters, Cynthia Verrill and Donna Burton; her sons, William, Michael and Dave Derosier; as well as thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Lorraine worked as a nurse for thirty years before retiring. She was involved in the American Legion Post 807, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 807, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and the Cooties. Lorraine enjoyed to knit, crochet and do embroidery. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church.

Lorraine was a U.S. Navy Veteran as was her late husband. She will be buried with military honors at the Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, MA, through Duckett Funeral Home Of J.S. Waterman & Sons. A Memorial Service with military honors will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond St. Yuba City, CA at 4:00pm. Following the service, a “Celebration of Life” will be held at American Legion Post 807, 5477 Feather River Blvd., Olivehurst, CA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Yuba-Sutter Special Olympics, c/o T.J. Fetter, 2285 Stonybrook Dr., Yuba City, CA 95991
