Subscription Update Obituary

     Lorraine (McCue) Brunell, 71, died on Monday, July 22, 2018 at UMass Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Charles and Rolande (Buteau) McCue.

Lorraine was raised in Leicester and graduated from Leicester High School, Class of 1964. She worked for many years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an intake assistant with the Department of Transitional Assistance. Lorraine enjoyed playing bingo and visiting casinos in the area.

She leaves her son, James A. Brunell, Jr. of Shrewsbury; her three sisters, Kathleen Manion of Falmouth, Charlene Noble of The Villages, FL and Nancy McCue of Worcester; her grandchildren, Kara Cadrin, Tanya Roy and Brandon Roy; as well as 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Burnell and her daughter, Linda Roy.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Lorraine’s family on Thursday, July 26th from 11 a.m. – 12 Noon at Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston. A prayer service will begin at 12 Noon in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
