Lorraine M. (Labossiere) Dunham, 95, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Knollwood Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Lorraine was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester, and later married the love of her life, Robert C. “Bob” Dunham. A love affair of 77 years. She worked many years at Iandoli’s, Stop & Shop, and last, Worcester State University. Lorraine and Bob retired to Cape Cod and Florida.

Lorraine loved music and performed in musicals at the Little Theater in Worcester for many years. She sang at many weddings and in the St. Anne’s Choir. Tennis, cards and casino plus going on the gambling ship was a day of fun. Of course let’s not forget her love of sports.

Lorraine leaves her daughter, Deborah A. Valcourt and her partner Joseph Power; and son, Ronald W. Dunham and his wife Suzanne; grandchildren Mark J. Belanger and his wife Nicole of Boylston; Neil Belanger and his partner Mary Beth Bonina of Grafton; Sean M. Dunham and his wife Patricia of Superior, CO; Corey B. Dunham and his partner Jen Sanford of Berlin; Ryan W. Dunham and his wife Audrey of Northborough; Laurie A. Dziokonski and her husband Norman of Sterling; and Robert P. Dunham, Jr.; Great-grandchildren Cavin, Jordan, and Madison of Boylston; Summer of Grafton; Iain and Ronan of Superior, CO: Steven, Declan, and Avery of Berlin; Haley and Alex of Northborough; Kayla, Dylan, Norm, and Alina of Sterling; Isabella Dunham; and nephew, Alan Chaput. She also leaves many nieces and nephews; a cousin, Joan Welsh; and best friend Germaine Lapierre. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Antonia Labossiere, sister Claire Chaput, her husband Robert C. “Bob” Dunham, and son Robert P. Dunham.

The Dunham family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to the staff of Christopher Heights for their care and ongoing compassion during Lorraine’s years living there. Thank you to Elder Services and Knollwood Nursing Home for their care in her last days.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a visitation period at the Chiampa Funeral Home, 5 Church Road, on the Common, Shrewsbury Center, on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 9:30-11:00 AM. Funeral Service will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Lorraine’s honor to Christopher Heights of Worcester, c/o Activity Dept., 20 Mary Scano Drive, Worcester MA, 01605, or a charity of your choice.
