     Lorraine A. (Gariepy) Benoit -90, of Fitchburg, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Monday, December 1, 2014, in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital after being stricken ill. She was born on April 17, 1924, in Leominster, MA was the daughter of the late Armand and Diana (Richard) Gariepy. Lorraine married Roland Benoit on April 19, 1942 in St. Cecilia Church in Leominster. She Co-Owned Benoit Furniture in Leominster, with her husband Roland from 1956 until their closing in 1976. She was a member of St. Boniface Parish in Lunenburg where she was a Eucharistic Minister and St. Bernard’s Parish, Fitchburg, she was also a member of St. Cecilia Prayer Group and her and her husband Roland also donated their time at Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. She is survived by her daughters Anne M. Chapdelaine and her husband Claude of Leominster, Lynn M. High and her husband Gilbert of Virginia, her sons Claude L. Benoit and his wife Linda of Westford, Daniel A. Benoit and his wife Donna of Leominster, Pastor Mark A. Benoit and his wife Stephanie of Framingham, her brother Wilfred Gariepy and his wife Constance of Leominster, her sister Bernadette Camire and her husband the late Honore, of South Yarmouth, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years Roland J. Benoit in 2011, and her son David Benoit in 1971.
