Subscription Update Obituary

    Loring G. Paquette, 63, died Monday, Jan. 31st, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

    He leaves his loving wife of 42 years, Rosalie L. (Quintin) Paquette; 3 children; his son Guy T. Paquette and his wife Nancy of Grafton, two daughters Amy Paquette-Riordan and husband Dave of Millbury and Tia Lapierre and husband Jim of Millbury, four grandsons Joshua Paquette, Kevin Paquette, Zachary Paquette and Justin Paquette all of Millbury who were the light of his life. He also leaves three sisters Sandra Paquette of Grafton, Marlene Tella of Millbury and Myrna Fantasia of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. Loring was born in Shrewsbury the son of Adolf T. and Vera L. (Sanderson) Paquette.

    Loring enlisted in the Navy in 1967 and served aboard the U.S.S. Saratoga CVA60 during the Vietnam War. Loring served his country for many years between active duty and the naval reserves and he was a member of the Devoe-Taylor American Legion Post in Millbury.

    Mr. Paquette was a self employed contractor and owner of Site Prep. He worked his entire life in the construction business. He was proud of the work he did for and in the town of Millbury and he enjoyed the work he recently completed on the Habitat for Humanity project here in town.

    Loring worked at the Worcester CSX rail yard for many years.

    Loring enjoyed being outdoors and loved motorcycle riding, hunting, fishing, canoeing, gardening and landscaping. Loring also enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He was proud of the work that he did and loved to help others. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his willingness to help others, his love and devotion for his wife, children, grandchildren and friends.

    Loring’s calling hours will be Friday, February 11th from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Massachusetts Veterans Inc. 69 Grove Street Worcester, MA 01605.
