Lori Ann (Cipro) Therrien, 45, passed away peacefully at home on November 18, 2014, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer.

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Richard P. and Rosemary (Finnegan) Cipro and lived here all her life. She graduated from Doherty Memorial High and Quinsigamond Community College. Lori will always be remembered for her tenaciousness and positive attitude. Born with cerebral palsy, she never let her disability stand in her way. If someone told her she could not do something she would consistently prove them wrong. Lori loved sports and participated throughout her childhood in Easter Seals Softball Tournaments. She never missed a football, baseball or softball game that her siblings participated in. Later, she religiously followed the Red Sox and Patriots and was always the loudest yelling at the television during critical moments. Lori was the happiest when she was around family and her proudest accomplishment was marrying David and raising their son Brady, whom she adored. Lori loved to reminisce about family vacations to Santa’s Village, Hampton Beach and the Peduzzi’s Summer Camp. Lori had a special bond with her sister-in-law Colleen. They were always there for each other and Lori often said she was happiest when being with Colleen at her home. Lori will be missed by many.

Lori is survived by her husband of thirteen years David Therrien and their young son Brady, her mother Rosemary (Finnegan) Cipro of Worcester, her brothers Richard Cipro Jr. and his Wife Colleen of Worcester; Michael Cipro and his girlfriend Carolyn Trinque of Holden; Her sister Jennifer (Cipro) Standring and her husband Jimmy of Dudley and many nieces and nephews. Lori was preceded in death by her father Richard Cipro, Sr. in 2010.

The family would especially like to thank Kelly Lucey, a close family friend and another sister to Lori, who was constantly by her and our family’s side during this difficult time. We would also like to thank the staff and nurses of Metro-West Hospice for their compassionate care and support.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Lori touched are invited to MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014. Her funeral will be celebrated Saturday, November 22, 2014 from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 23 Fales Street in Worcester where her Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Worcester. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Brady Therrien Fund – c/o TD Bank North 430 W Boylston Street Worcester, MA, 01606.
