Leslie Elaine Walton, 52, of West Boylston and formerly of Holden, died suddenly and unexpectedly from complications of her long struggle with her physical disability and alcohol addiction on May 23, 2017.

She grew up in Holden, attended Holden schools and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School.  She earned an Associate Degree from Fisher Junior College in Boston and later attended Woodbury University in Los Angeles, CA.

Leslie was a free spirit.  She realized her lifelong dream of flying by working as a Flight Attendant for Continental Express Airlines.  Flying was her life.  When her health issues ended her airline career, she worked as a model and as a Dental Assistant.

She loved the arts and found great joy by expressing herself creatively and sharing her art with others.

Leslie leaves her mother, Joanne Ciesluk and her step-dad, Anthony, whose home she shared in West Boylston; her father, Terrance Walton and her step-mother Dorothy of Londonderry, NH; her sister, Diane Rowe and her husband, Bruce, and nieces, Jennifer and Elizabeth Rowe all of Cary, NC; and her aunt and “other mother”, Judith Sandberg of Holden.  She also leaves step-sisters, Cheryl Roberts and Susan Evans and step-brothers, Scott Ciesluk and Daniel Williams and their families; aunts, an uncle and cousins; her good friends, Peter Andrews and Rich Hall, and her beloved handicapped rescue cat, Peanut, which was her constant companion to whom she dedicated her loving care.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 in the Oakdale United Methodist Church, 15 North Main Street, West Boylston.  Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton.  Please omit flowers with donations to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
