Subscription Update Obituary

     Leonard I. “Lenny” Upgard, 85, passed away on Oct. 19th at the Lutheran Home in Worcester.

Lenny leaves his wife of 48 years, Barbara Ann (Spencer) Upgard; two nieces, Carol White of Oxford and Janice Auger of Worcester. He is predeceased by his parents, Hjalmar and Olivia (Nixholm) Upgard; his sister, Enis Skeates and his brother, Harold Upgard.

Lenny was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, serving in the Korean War. He worked for the former George Meyer Company in Worcester for 25 years. He later worked for Fallon Clinic in Worcester retiring in 1996. Lenny was a life member of Charles F. Minney VFW Post 3329 and a member of the Auburn-Webster Elks Club.

Lenny’s calling hours will be held on Friday, Oct. 21st from 5 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury. His funeral will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22nd with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street in Millbury. Burial with military honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Charles F. Minney VFW Post 3329, P.O. Box 414, Millbury, MA 01527.
