Subscription Update Obituary

   Lawrence A. Ronayne, Jr., 82, of Worcester, died Monday, December 22nd in UMass Memorial Hospital.

   He leaves his wife of 60 years, Agnes C. (Baxter) Ronayne; three sons, Michael L. Ronayne and his wife, Michelle of Amherst, NH, Jack Ronayne and his wife, Denise of Sutton and Paul K. Ronayne and his wife, Cherie of Worcester; a sister, Barbara A. Baxter of Worcester; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

   He was born in Worcester, the son of Lawrence A. Ronayne, Sr. and Catherine (Taylor) Ronayne. Mr. Ronayne was employed by AT&T and Lucent Technologies as a technician for 38 years. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, Telephone Pioneers of America, Knights of Columbus Alhambra Council 88 and American Legion Post 341. Lawrence served his country in the US Navy during WWII and Korea. He enjoyed fishing, sports and woodworking.

   The funeral is Saturday, December 27th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Friday, December 26th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
