Subscription Update Obituary

Laurie A. Abbott, 48, of South Street died Thursday, August 3 in her home.

She leaves a son; Tirrell Harris and his wife Katherine of Thomasville, NC, her parents Alan and Dale (Bissonnette) Abbott of Worcester, her fiancé Jeffrey Vigeant of Oxford,  a brother Alan Abbott, Jr. of Oxford, two sisters; Leslie Abbott-Rodriguez and her husband Edwin of Worcester and Leeann Abbott and her spouse Annmarie Mahoney of Worcester, a granddaughter; Katsuna Harris, her paternal grandmother Joyce Beaudreau of Worcester and several nieces and nephews.

Laurie was born in Worcester.  She graduated from South High School and received an associate degree in criminal justice from Quinsigamond Community College.  She was a certified nursing assistant and worked for several years as a home health aide.  She enjoyed all kinds of music and going to concerts, it didn’t matter who was playing she just loved concerts.  she enjoyed riding on motorcycles, all kinds of outdoor activities and adventures, fishing and going to the beach.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11,  from 10:00AM-12:00PM followed by a funeral service at 12:00PM in Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.  Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
