Subscription Update Obituary

Kevin R. “Pa” Wilder, 68, of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at UMASS Memorial University Campus, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP).

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan, his two children, Holly Wilder-Raposa and her husband Jason of Worcester; Nathan Wilder and his wife Jeni of E. Bridgewater; four grandchildren, Brooke, Madyson, Owen and Sullivan; four beloved siblings, Christopher, his twin brother, Timothy, Michael and Cathy, in addition to many beloved extended family members and friends. Kevin was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Jean Wilder, both of Worcester.

Kevin will be remembered for many things, but will especially be remembered for the unconditional love he extended to his family and friends. His laid back, lively spirit and devotion brought so many happy moments to the lives of all those around him.

The Wilder family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the 6th and 7th floor ICU staff at UMASS Memorial University Campus, for the immeasurable care they provided to Kevin during the last month of his life.

Calling hours will be at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St, Worcester on Monday, September 13th from 10a – 12p. A funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on Kevin’s behalf to The Fund for Saint Mary School, 16 Summer St, Shrewsbury 01545.
