Subscription Update Obituary

Kenneth W. Lippe, Sr., 64, died peacefully on February 3, 2015, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jane (Markarian) Lippe of Webster; three children, Kimbley Dumphy and her husband Adam of Thompson, CT, Jacqueline Lippe of Webster, and Kenneth Lippe Jr. of Webster; a brother, Thomas Lippe and wife Joanna of Florida; three sisters, Nancy Lauziere and her husband Emmanuel of Webster, Deborah Tharp and her husband Richard of Leicester, and Jacqueline Small and husband Robert of New Hampshire; five grandchildren, Michelle Dumphy, Matthew Dumphy Jr., Jacob Dumphy, Amy Dumphy, Emily Dumphy; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two brothers, Bobby and Richard Lippe; and his best friend, Donald Gow. He was born in Worcester on November 7, 1950, the son of the late Roland J. and Theresa M. (Gubber) Lippe, and lived in Webster for the past 12 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, proudly serving 2 tours.

Mr. Lippe worked as a newspaper carrier for the Worcester Telegram and Gazette for 20 years. He loved to work outside in his yard and especially on his garden. When he was not outside, he was playing his virtual poker game. He loved his family very much, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren when they came to visit.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are Friday, February 6, 2015, from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benefit of Kenneth W. Lippe Sr. Fund, c/o Webster Five Cent Savings Bank, 136 Thompson Rd., Webster, MA 01570.
