Subscription Update Obituary

Kathleen M. (Coffey) Paulauskas, 72, died Monday, March 7, 2022 in Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam with family at her side.

She leaves her husband of 45 years, Stephen A. Paulauskas; a son, Anthony E. Paulauskas and his wife Lisa of Thompson; a grandson, Jacob Paulauskas; a sister, Patricia Jones and her husband Kenneth of Worcester; and many nieces and nephews. Her brother, Edward J. Coffey, Jr., died in 2013 and her sister, Barbara A. Silva, died in 2015.

She was born on January 29, 1950 in Worcester, a daughter of Edward J. Coffey, Sr. and Juliette C. (Fortin) Coffey and graduated from Fanning Girls’ Trade School in 1968. She moved to Woodstock in 1986.

Mrs. Paulauskas was a home health aide for many years before retiring in 2012.

She was a member of Saint Stephen’s Church in Quinebaug. She enjoyed sewing and knitting. She was an excellent cook and was noted for her “Bugs Bunny” soup. She was loved by many because she made everyone feel special.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 26, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster, MA with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Stephen’s Church, corner of Routes 131 & 197, Quinebaug. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
