Karen Ann (Bylund) Lettic, 71, of Worcester, passed away while surrounded by family on Thursday February 15, 2018 in Umass Hospital. She is survived by her husband of forty-one years, Daniel M. Lettic, Jr. She leaves her two daughters, Daria Lettic-Lay and Andrea Lettic; three grandchildren Tres Lay, Eva and Lillian Lettic-Foster; niece Amanda Lettic and nephew Nick Lettic, as well as many cousins and loved ones she held close to her heart. She was the daughter of the late Werner and Eva (Oveka) Bylund, and predeceased by her brother David.

Mrs. Lettic graduated from Auburn High, and worked at New England Telephone before leaving to raise her children. She later retired from Honey Farms, Inc. Extremely compassionate towards animals, she often moonlighted as the neighborhood vet. This woman was an intelligent wordsmith, a crossword puzzle master and those who challenged her to a game of Scrabble would walk away in defeat. Not only was she a lover of the written word but she matched her quick wit with an improvisational delivery not many can pull off. Mrs. Lettic prompted laughter everywhere she went.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11 AM in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL Home, 298 Grafton St. A calling hour in the funeral home will be on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00[BK1] Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League at 139 Holden Street in Worcester.
