Subscription Update Obituary

     Karen Hemingway, 63, of Worcester, passed away Wednesday, February 12th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her son, Jose; her three daughters, Melissa, Serena and Sarah; eleven grandchildren, including Kevin Hemingway, who was like a son to her; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Harry.

She was born in Marlboro the daughter of William Healy and Claire E. (LeClair) Sanchez, the sixth of thirteen children. She was a homemaker who treated all the kids in her family as her own. She worked in the nursing and clerical fields. In life, she was a firecracker. She was funny and kind and sentimental. She found joy in babies, children, and animals. Her grandbabies were her entire world.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by her funeral service at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
