Subscription Update Obituary

     Julia (DiTaranto) Kullman, 95, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Beaumont Nursing Home with her loving family by her side.

Julia was born in Worcester on October 16, 1920 the daughter of the late Frank and Madelaine (Lamonica) DiTaranto. Her husband of twenty nine years John L. Kullman predeceased her in 1990. Julia is survived by her sister, Mary Scricco, many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her three brothers, Joe DiTaranto, Angelo DiTaranto and Michael DiTaranto and three sisters, Ida Renzone, Lana Trance, and Ana Mancini-Palumbo.

Julia was a lifelong resident of Worcester and member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Ann Church. She was an avid reader and bingo enthusiast. She also enjoyed visiting the casinos and she loved her dog “Mitzie”.

Family will gather for a private calling hour from 9:00am until 10:00 a.m. on October 13th in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 PLANTATION ST, followed by a private funeral service at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton at the conclusion of services. Julia’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff at Beaumont Nursing Home for their compassionate and excellent care of Julia during her time there.
