Judith A. Palmer, 81, died Sunday, August 21, 2016 at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus, after an illness. She leaves two nephews, Neil F. Palmer and his wife Felisa of Worcester, Jeffrey A. Palmer and his wife Marie of Sneads Ferry, NC; two nieces, Jillian V. Giangaspro and Zoe E. Palmer; and a nephew, Neil R. Palmer. Her brother, Francis J. Palmer, Jr. of Paxton, died October 30, 2011.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Francis J. and Elsie V. (Arnberg) Palmer and lived here all of her life. She was a graduate of Clark University and earned her Master’s Degree from Boston University.

Judy worked as a teacher at the Perkins School for the Blind for 39 years until she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered for the love she bestowed upon her cats.

A Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the family in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. There are No Calling Hours.

The family suggests donations in memory of Judy be made to the ASPCA.
