Judith A. (Quirk) Foskett, 78, of Friar Tuck Lane, died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, December 24, 2021, at her home with her husband by her side. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James H. Foskett, Sr. of Oxford; two children, James Foskett Jr. and his life partner Cherri of Oxford, and Alice Hebert and her husband Kevin of Northbridge; four grandchildren, Lindsey Mullin and her husband Mark Lammert of Worcester, Sean Mullin of Northbridge, Brianna Mullin of Worcester, and Amber Hebert of Northbridge; a brother, James Quirk; two sisters, Mary Dzielski and her husband Edward of Arizona, and Diane Harris and her husband Chris of New York. She was predeceased by two brothers, George “Quig” Quirk of New Hampshire, and Michael Quirk of Florida; two sisters, Eileen Caruso-Wenho of Worcester, and Pat Spain of Sutton; an aunt, Alice Spaulding; and a granddaughter, Tara J. Mullin who died in 1986. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late George and Mary (Spaulding) Quirk, and lived in Shrewsbury and Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1976. She graduated from Bishop McMan High School in Buffalo, NY, attended David Hale Fanning Trade School, and received her certification as an L.P.N. from Quinsigamond Community College School of Nursing.

Mrs. Foskett was a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester for 32 years, retiring in 2013. While there, she worked in the memory care unit and was supervisor of the overnight shift. Later, she worked part-time for Eisenberg Assisted Living in Worcester. She operated “Take a Peek” gift shop in Leicester, was a Cub Scout leader in Oxford, and a Girl Scout leader in Buffalo, NY. Mrs. Foskett volunteered at the Cat Connection in Webster and enjoyed reading, crafts, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, and her beloved cat “Shadow,” who jumped on her every morning at 3 a.m. to start the day. Most of all, she loved time at the beach, swimming, watching the waves, and family vacations to Florida.

A funeral will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/The Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
