Joyce E. (Shays) Couture, 74, of Worcester passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 in UMass Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Avenue, North. Her husband, Paul R. Couture, Sr., died in 2011. She is survived by her children, George Adams and his wife, Janine, Paul R. Couture, Jr. and his wife Brenda and daughter, Karen Adams and her husband Mark Tetrault; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; ten step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The last of six children, Joyce was born in Worcester a daughter of Harry and Mabel (Brunelle) Shays.

Mrs. Couture was a homemaker whose family was the center of her interests and hobbies. She enjoyed raising her family, playing video games with her grandchildren and spending time with her great grandchildren and watching them all grow.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a service at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
