Joseph D. McCorkle passed away on June 8th, 2023, at Brookside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Webster at the age of 62. He was born on May 26, 1961. Joe is survived by his parents James and Eileen McCorkle; his children Jessica, Joseph and Joshua McCorkle. Joe was the proud grandfather of Sunshine McCorkle. Forever remembered by his siblings James McCorkle, JoanAnn Natola, Jane Chaponis and Jeanette Ezell. He is also loved and remembered by his former spouse, Paula Johnson McCorkle, and Pamela Brier, partner of 21 years. He is loved by his sibling’s spouses, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joe was predeceased by his brother John Henry McCorkle.

Joe grew up in Holden and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School. He went on to become an expert machinist at Reed Roll Die and Thread in Holden, and a transport specialist at Pepsi. He eventually started his own business building homes, specializing in roofing. Throughout his life, Joe was captivated by the great outdoors – he was an incredible fisherman and enjoyed hunting, his true love was being out on the ocean.

Though Joe’s health declined later in his life due to throat cancer, he remained a caring person and had a smile that could light up a room. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those whose lives he touched.

A celebration of life Mass will be held at St Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson on Saturday, July 8th at 10:00 am. Followed by a brief committal service at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
