Subscription Update Obituary

     John R. Bisceglia, 86, of Worcester passed away March 3, 2018 after a period of declining health. John leaves his devoted wife of 46 years Grace (DiPierro) Bisceglia, his two loving daughters, Robin Murphy of Worcester, and Cynthia Cunnane and her husband Michael “Mick” of Shrewsbury. John was the proud grandfather to Jessica O’Malley and Brian O’Malley, Jamie Fife and his great granddaughter, Charlee. John is also survived by two brothers, Frances and Pat Bisceglia, and was predeceased by two brothers, Vincent Bisceglia of Las Vegas, and Matt Bisceglia of Reno, NV.

John was born in Worcester son of the late Dominick and Nellie (Kapusta) Bisceglia and has lived here all his life. He served his country proudly during the Korean War in the United States Army Air Corps. John worked for the Floor Crafters Company for 20 years before he retired. John was a life member of the Brown Square Civic Club, and was also a member of the American Legion East Side Post #201. He was a member of the Green Hill Golf Club and also Pleasant Valley Country Club.

John was a great Husband, Father and Grandfather, he was always happy, laughing, and singing. He had a passion for playing Golf, and enjoyed playing Bocce, Bowling, and playing cards. John and Grace loved to travel, especially their trips to Italy, and Alaska. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday March 12 at 10:00 AM in the Church of St. Anne 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. There are no Calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 309 Waverly Oaks Rd, Waltham MA. 02452. Or the American Parkinson’s Association 73 East Concord Street, Boston MA. 02118. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. is assisting the family with John’s services.
