John P. Holmgren, 53, died Friday, March 29, 2013, at home after an illness. He leaves his wife Joy (Morin) Holmgren and her children Randy Oldenburg and Brandon Oldenburg both of Millbury, and Erin Rivett and her husband David of Sturbridge, his mother Ruth F. (Hellman) Holmgren of Warren and grandchildren Matthew, Jayden, Andrew, Hunter, and his siblings William, David, Joseph, Susan Winkler, Linda Castano, Viola Holmgren, and Mary Stabler, several nieces and nephews.
     He was born in Worcester, son of the late William O. Holmgren. He attended North Brookfield High School and was a veteran of the US Air Force.
     Funeral Services will be private. Sansoucy Funeral Home 40 Marcy Street Southbridge, MA 01550 is directing arrangements.
