John K. Turner,Sr., 84, of Cherry Valley section of Leicester, died Monday, Dec. 4th in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 43 years, Sandra O. (Pratt) Turner, 6 sons; John Turner, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Spencer, Mark Turner and his wife Mary-Beth of Shrewsbury, Timothy Sanko and his wife Nancy of Leicester, Kevin Sanko of Spencer, Richard Sanko of Cherry Valley and David Tetreault of Rockland, ME., his daughter; Cheryl Hull and her husband Brian of Dudley, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers; Ronald and Gary Turner.
John was a forklift operator for Webster Spring & Wire in Oxford retiring in 2003.
He was born in Worcester, the son of John C. and Helen (Brown) Turner. He served in the National Guard.
John was an avid sportsman, enjoyed the casino, scratch tickets and his daily iced coffee.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
