Subscription Update Obituary

John F. Judge, Jr., 79, died peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus, after a period of declining health.

Born in Worcester, John was the son of John F. Judge, Sr. and Mary (Sliney) Judge. John and his beloved wife, Alice settled in Rutland where they raised their three sons.

After graduating St. Peter’s High School, John attended Worcester State University. He worked on the telecommunications industry for over 45 years, eventually owning and operating Alternative Telecom Services.

John will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife, Alice (LaFlamme) Judge of Rutland; his sons, James Judge of Rutland, Robert Judge and his wife, Robyn of Rutland, and Michael Judge and his wife, Natalie of Osterville; his siblings, Elizabeth Gallagher, William Judge, Margaret Anderson, Geraldine Cogan; his cherished grandchildren, Brian, Joshua, Matthew, Nathan, Samantha, Tyler and Hallie; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for Calling Hours from 4:00 to 5:45 PM with a Memorial Service at 5:45 PM on Tuesday, December 20 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Rutland Fire Department, 240 Main Street, Rutland, MA 01543.
