John E. McAvoy, 66, of Webster, died Monday, July 11th peacefully at home. He leaves his son; Shane P. McAvoy of Leicester; two brothers, Mark E. McAvoy and his wife, Sarah of Austin, TX and Michael K. McAvoy of Worcester; and a nephew, Eric McAvoy of Austin, TX. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas P. McAvoy; his niece, Tara R. McAvoy; and his nephew, Kevin McAvoy.
John was born in Bethesda, Maryland the son of the late John I. and Louis M. (Boucher) McAvoy. He retired from the City of Worcester after working in the Street Department for over 30 years.
His funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family with arrangements.
