Subscription Update Obituary

     Jessie P. (Kennedy) Delgado, 91 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at UMass Memorial Hospital.

Jessie was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Alfred A. and Hattie B. (Rainey) Kennedy and attended Commerce High School.  She worked as a nurse’s aide for many years at Worcester State Hospital and the former Belmont Home before she retired.  After retirement, Jessie was a senior companion at Notre Dame Long-term Care Center.  Jessie was a faithful member of Belmont A.M.E Zion Church and enjoyed socializing with family and friends.

Jessie is survived by six sons, Antonio J. Delgado, Jr. and his wife Indy Williams of Oakton, VA, Joseph Dean Delgado of Worcester, Anthony Delgado and Michael E. Delgado both of Dunwoody, GA, John A. Delgado of Worcester, and Charles D. Delgado of Nashville, TN; four daughters, Dianna M. Lewis and her husband Bobby Lewis of Webster, Donna M. Delgado-Baffoe, Charlene V. Delgado and Danielle E. Delgado all of Worcester; 22 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her son, Stephen Delgado; two brother, Alfred and William Kennedy; three sisters, Edna Logan, Harriet Stewart and Rose Johnson.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 9-11 am with her funeral service to begin at 11 am in Belmont A.M.E.
