Subscription Update Obituary

     Jesse W. LaPrade of Worcester died January 1, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by family and friends after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Jesse was born in Worcester. He was a 1997 graduate of Worcester Vocational High School, with a concentration in plumbing. He also played varsity football and baseball.

He was Community Director with management responsibilities at Plantation Ridge, a residential complex on Plantation St. working for TGM Associates of New York, the property owners.

He leaves his wife Tracey M. (Hiser) LaPrade, two daughters, Hailey and Taylor LaPrade, his mother Carol (Blevins) Morin, wife of Mike Morin, his brother Jay LaPrade, his grandmother Jane (Goulet) Blevins, all of Worcester; an aunt Kathy Hamlin of Oxford, three uncles, Curly Blevins of Worcester, David Blevins and his wife Denise of Rochdale, and Michael Blevins and his wife Dana of Holden, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Andrew and Cindy Hiser of Worcester, a brother-in-law Justin Hiser of Worcester, former stepfather David Siebert of Holland, Mass., and many cousins.

Jesse was a devoted fan of University of Notre Dame football and followed all New England sports teams. He played baseball in the Joe Schwartz Little League and later enjoyed golfing and hunting.

Jesse will be remembered for the way he absolutely adored his wife and daughters.

Jesse’s family would like to thank the entire medical and nursing staffs at St. Vincent Hospital for their skilled and compassionate care.

Calling hours are Sunday, January 4, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St, Worcester. The funeral will be held from the funeral home Monday, January 5, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Christopher’s Church, 950 West Boylston St, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hailey and Taylor LaPrade Education Fund named Jesse’s Girls at Leominster Credit Union, 910 West Boylston St., Worcester 01606.
