Subscription Update Obituary

     Jeannette L. (LeFrancois) Poudrier, 85, of Worcester, died Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Knollwood Nursing Center, West Boylston.

Her husband of 26 years, George Poudrier, died in 1987. She leaves four children, Valerie Poudrier of Worcester, Michael Poudrier of Worcester, Pamela Guertin and her husband John of Worcester, and George Poudrier and his wife Candace of Spencer; two brothers, Henry LeFrancois and his wife Inge of Wells, ME and Ernest LeFrancois and his wife Shirley of Michigan; two sisters, Theresa Chouinard of Hudson and Lorraine Lacombe of Coventry,CT. She also leaves nine grandchildren, Kevin Joseph, Lee Anne, Heather, Trevor, Jaymes, Breanne, Jeremy, Laura, Blake, and Colin; two great-grandchildren, Tucker and Joseph; as well as many nieces and nephews. Jeannette was predeceased by two sisters, Rita Tombari and Juliette Eldredge, and her nephew Adam Purdy. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Ernest J. and Regina M. (Lemieux) LeFrancois.

Jeannette served her country in the Marine Corps Reserves. She worked as a hostess at several area restaurants, including Finnerty’s in Wayland. She previously worked as a telephone operator at Westborough State Hospital. She was also a hairdresser and taught ceramics classes out of her home. She belonged to the Yankee Heritage Tole Chapter of the Society of Decorative Painters.

The family would like to thank the staff at Knollwood Nursing Center for the wonderful care they provided to her for many years.

A calling hour will be held on Monday, December14, from 9:30 – 10:45 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 551 Pleasant Street, followed by a Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave.
