Subscription Update Obituary

     Jeannette (Gregson) Porter, 92, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, Worcester. Jeannette’s husband of 40 years, William T. Porter passed away in 1986. She leaves her beloved children, William T. Porter, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Charlton, Linda J. Snyder of W. Harwich, Joanne F. Porter of Oleans and Laurie E. Foley and her husband Thomas of Charlton; ten grandchildren, Andrew, Wade, Spenser, Clayton and Billie Porter, Leigh Peters, Emily Gray, Daniel, William and Jonathan Foley; 1 great granddaughter, Allie Peters; and many nieces and nephews. Jeannette’s four sisters, Dorothy, Lorette, Ruth and Gertrude predeceased her.
     Jeannette was born in Worcester, the daughter of Stanley F. and A. Marie (DuBois) Gregson. Jeannette enjoyed crossword puzzles, cribbage but most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
     The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Notre Dame Long Term Care for the kind and gentle care given to their mother during her stay there.
A visiting hour will be held on Tuesday, July 16th from 9:30 to 10:30 am at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
