Jeanne Jeffrey, 67 of Worcester passed away Saturday, August 22nd 2015 with her loved ones gathered by her side.

Jeanne was born in Cambridge Mass, one of two daughters of Leo Barry and Elizabeth McKenzie. She grew up in Cambridge, moving to Worcester 29 years ago to raise her son. In 1997, Jeanne met John Giannette and together enjoyed the next 18 years together sharing their lives and families. Jeanne also worked for many years as an Office Assistant for the St Francis Home before retiring due to illness.

Jeanne is survived by her beloved John; her devoted and cherished son, Justin E. Jeffrey of Attleboro; five stepchildren she considered her own, Melissa Prefontaine, Maria Giannette, Angela Settens, Christine Rosati, and John Giannette Jr.; her sister, Susan Barry of Florida; 12 grandchildren; a great granddaughter; her former husband Keith Jeffrey; many nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

Jeanne loved all forms of dancing, especially line dancing which she and John taught. Her favorite flowers were red roses; she collected Anna Lee dolls, and loved to read. Jeanne loved to travel, and cruises to Hawaii, her most favorite destination was cruising to Hawaii.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Thursday, August 27th from 4pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral service will be celebrated Friday, August 28th at 11:00 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name can be made to the Joslin Diabetes Clinic, 1 Joslin Place, Boston Mass.
