Subscription Update Obituary

     Janice D. Logan 73, of Worcester, passed away on September 23, 2012 at home surrounded by her loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer.
     Janice is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Leroy J. Logan Jr. and 8 children, Jenise Tuitt of Colorado Springs CO, Leroy Logan III, wife Lorna, Russell Logan, wife Tanya of Duluth, GA, Keith Logan, David Logan, wife Susanne, Lisa Logan, Lynne Logan, and Kim Logan of Houston, TX; 19 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Glenn Dyer, Benjamin Dyer, Norman Coates, and Allen Coates, and 3 sisters, Cecily Dyer, Janelle Butler, and Rochelle Appiah; brothers in law, Ronald Logan, wife Quida and Alfred Logan; sister in law, Norma Logan; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
     She was predeceased by her father Russell Dyer, mother Thelma Storms, brothers Wilbur Dyer, Keith Dyer; sisters Pricilla Dyer and Deborah Jantuah, and grandson Nathaniel Logan.
     Janice held a Master’s Degree in Nursing and was a graduate of North High School, Quinsigamond Community College, and Worcester State College. She worked as a Registered Nurse for more than 40 years, and also as an instructor at the Memorial School of Nursing, Worcester State College, and the MCPHS.
     Janice enjoyed cooking, camping, sewing, and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed being with her family and friends and was the quintessential matriarch of the Logan family. Her spirit, inner strength, and beauty will remain forever in the hearts of those that had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
     Calling hours are Saturday, September 29th from 9:00 until 10:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service to follow. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
