Subscription Update Obituary

   Janet "Gram" (Lagace) Carter, 72, died on Sunday, March 29th in her son's home after an illness.

   Mrs. Carter is predeceased by her husband, Edward T. "Gramps" Carter Jr. who died in March of 2008. She is survived by three sons, Edward T. Carter III and his wife Christine of Cobleskill, NY, Paul M. Carter and his wife Meredith of Leicester, and John D. Carter and his wife Kimberly of Amesbury; three sisters, Elaine Isabel of Portsmouth, RI, Rita Piper of Fall River, and Bernice DelSignore of East Providence, RI; 7 grandchildren, Laura, Darci, Elyse, Kelly, Joshua, Paul Jr. and Nicholas; 2 great grandchildren, Jeffrey and Michael and several nephews and nieces.

   Janet was the daughter of the late Raymond and Carmen (Rancourt) Lagace and is predeceased by a sister Lillian Poissant.

   Mrs. Carter enjoyed collecting Elvis Presley paraphernalia and spending time with her family.

   The funeral will be held on Friday, April 3rd from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Thursday, April 2nd from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society c/o St. Peter's Church 929 Main St. Worcester, MA 01610.
