Subscription Update Obituary

Jane C. (Wright) Savage, 70, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 30, 2022. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Walter G. and Marcella G. (Lemoine) Wright and had lived in Paxton, Charlton, and Bethlehem NH, before moving to Hubbardston.

Her loving husband of 30 years, Dennis F. Savage, passed away in 2003. She leaves her son, Michael F. Savage and his wife, Nancy of West Hartford, CT; her daughters, Jessica M. Savage and Melissa A. Savage, both of Hubbardston; her sisters, Joyce Newell and her husband, Larry of Worcester and Susan Monopoli and her husband, Michael of Shrewsbury; two grandsons, Colin and Andrew Savage, and many nieces and nephews.

Jane graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and was a dedicated wife and mother. She worked for several years at the Public Library and Mayo Elementary School in Holden and was a member of St. George’s Church in Worcester.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Jane will be held on Wednesday, February 9th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, appropriate social distancing and wearing of a mask will be required. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
