Subscription Update Obituary

     James L. Denman Sr., 86, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014. He leaves his wife of 64 years, Ruth (Hill) Denman; two sons, James L. Denman Jr. and his wife Sandra of Haverhill and Steven A. Denman and his wife Debora of Charlton; a brother, LaVerne Denman of Waterloo, NY; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, J. Christian Denman. Jim was born in Weedsport, NY, son of the late Harry and Una Denman. He graduated from Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls, NY and served in the Navy after graduation. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Boylston Lodge of Masons, A.F. & A.M. and served as Past Master of that lodge. He also belonged to the Alethia Grotto Band as a drummer and to the Past Masters Association of the 21st & 22nd Masonic District. Jim retired as a foreman from the Heald Division of Cincinnati Milacron after working there 38 years. Jim’s family extends their gratitude to the wonderful, caring staff at Summit Elder Care and Worcester Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Friday, Sept. 26, from 5:30-7:00pm. The funeral will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 10am. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 41 Whitmarsh Ave., Worcester MA 01606.
