James J. Biando, 67, died suddenly, Friday, April 24th at his home. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Orbrie Irene (Johnson) Biando, two sons, Christopher E. Johnson, Jesse J. Biando both of East Brookfield, a daughter, Genie E. Biando of North Brookfield, four brothers; David Biando and his wife Patricia of Florida, his identical twin, Ernest T. Biando and his wife Kelly of East Brookfield, Anthony C. Biando and his wife Kim of Townsend, William Biando of Spencer, two sisters, Brenda M. Davis and her husband Scott of Spencer, Bonnie S. Harvey and her significant other, Raymond of North Brookfield, a grandson, Chayse Cunniff of Vermont and many nieces and nephews whom he loved.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of James W. & Corine (Benoit) Biando. He was a graduate of David Prouty High School, Class of ’77 where he was a part of the “Colosseum”. He worked as a Senior Quality Control Technician at Saint-Gobain in Worcester for 41 years, retiring in 2025. He also owned and operated his DJ business “Loone-Tunes” for many years where he DJ’d many parties for family and friends.
To know Jimi was to love him. He was generous, funny, and the life of any party. Known for his jokes, crazy Hawaiian shirts and his love for his family and friends, along with his generosity. Jimi was an avid golfer, known as the “Amazing Randi” on the golf course and for his colorful golf clothing. He enjoyed classic cars such as his Mustang, history, and spending time with family and friends. He was a friend to many, but above all he was a great husband, father and family man. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will live on in the stories told about him and in his children and family members.
A Funeral Service will be held, Monday, May 4th at 11 A.M. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Calling hours will precede the Service from 9-11 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
