Subscription Update Obituary

    James J. Barnable, 79, of 87 Paris Ave., died yesterday in City Hospital.  He was born in Newfoundland, son of Richard and Margaret (Lovell) Barnable.  He lived in Worcester for 55 years.  He was a machinist at Norton Co., for 40 years before retiring in 1955.  He was a veteran of World War I and a member of American Legion Post 319 in Worcester.  He was also a member of the Retired Men's Club and the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of the Angels Church.  He leaves his widow, Rose E. (Catarette) Barnable; two stepsons, Harold P. Hubert of Worcester, and George E. Hubert of Philadelphia, Pa.; a daughter, Margaret M., wife of Joseph L. Cox of San Francisco; a stepdaughter, Miss Theresa M. Hubert of Worcester; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

    The funeral will be held Tuesday from O'Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Ave., with a High Mass at 9 am in Our Lady of the Angels Church.  Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.  Calling hours at the funeral home are 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm tomorrow.
