Subscription Update Obituary

     James C. Cudd, 91, of Worcester, passed away Monday, April 11th in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. He leaves his wife of 63 years, Margaret L. (Scott) Cudd; four nieces, Kathleen Pigeon of Oxford, Eileen Kontaxi of Millbury, Pauline William of Naples, FL, and Mary Frates of Sutton; and a sister in law, Ruth Oden of TX.

He was born in Franklin, the son of Sim and Sarah (Lynn) Cudd, grew up in Millbury and graduated from Millbury High School. He enlisted in the United States Army, where he served in Patton’s Army during World War II. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge & the Bronze Star. After his service to our country, he began a 50 year long plastic molding career. He first worked at Tupper Plastic Company in Farnumsville, then moved to Texas, where he met and married his wife. In 1953, he returned to Massachusetts and began a 40 year career at Aquatic Plastics in West Brookfield, retiring as Vice President in charge of production in 1988. Mr. Cudd was a member of Millbury Baptist Church. He enjoyed photography, wood working, camping, and trailer travel. He was a 51 year member of the Pine Acres Resort in Oakham, where he made many friends.

His funeral is Friday, April 15th with a service at 10:00 A.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour is from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. Friday in the funeral home.
