Subscription Update Obituary

      Jacquelyn A. (Kilpatrick) Thomas, 85, of Worcester, died peacefully Thursday, July 27, 2017.

Her husband of 48 years, Michael P. Thomas, died in 2014. She leaves three children, Christina M. Thomas of Worcester, Timothy N. Thomas and his wife Michele of Belchertown, and Amy B. Gustafson and her husband Robert of Oxford; four grandchildren, Melissa Rio and her husband Jason, Christopher Harshaw and his wife Melissa, Sean Thomas and Robert W. Gustafson; four great-granddaughters, Emily, Hope, Abriella and Ashlee Rio; a sister, Judith M. McCourt of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews.

Jacquelyn was predeceased by a sister Georgette Kilpatrick and three brothers, Richard, Danny, and William Kilpatrick.

She was born in Ware, daughter of George and Emma (Santimore) Kilpatrick, and lived most of her life in Worcester.

Jacquelyn was a housekeeper at St. Vincent Hospital for many years. Previously, she worked at Quality Seafood in Worcester. She was also a former hospital volunteer.

Jacquelyn was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. She enjoyed shopping and especially the time she spent with her family, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are Monday, July 31, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Our Lady of the Angels Building Fund.
