Subscription Update Obituary
     Irwin G. MacDougall, 83, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 in Parson Hills Nursing Center.

He leaves his wife of 60 years, E. Myrna (Arthur) MacDougall; three children, Gregory MacDougall and his wife, Amy Margaret of Richmond, VA; George MacDougall and his wife, Lori of Leicester and Donna MacDougall and her husband, Dean Caccamo of Cary, NC; eight grandchildren, Keith, Jillian, Michael, Matthew, Colin, Edward, Sofia and Belle; two brothers, Donald and Ronald MacDougall of Prince Edward Island, Canada. A grandson, Christopher G. MacDougall and ten siblings predeceased him. He was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, son of Neil and Cecilia (MacDougall) MacDougall and came to the United States in 1961 with a Canadian Two Dollar Bill, a change of clothes and a good pair of work boots.

Irwin was first employed by Tip Top Bread Company and later joined the Teamsters Local#170 as a fleet mechanic working for Barry and Foley Transportation and then retiring from Conrail/CSX Transportation. Irwin was a jack of all trades and unselfish man, who loved to help others. He enjoyed fishing, singing and was self taught with many musical instruments, his favorite being the guitar.

The family would like to thank the staff and the hospice team at Parson Hills for their care and compassion to Irwin and his family.

The Funeral Service will be private. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association (alz.org). Arrangements in the care of CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street.
