Subscription Update Obituary
     Irene “Nana” (Koslowsky) McNeil, 87, of John Curran Terrace, Worcester, where she has resided for over 24 years passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017.

Irene is survived by three sons, Joseph, William and Richard McNeil; four daughters, Barbara McNeil-Gambo, Marylou McKenzie, Paula McNeil Haskell and Cheryl Bromirski; 20 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild; many extended family members and friends including Dory Wyne and Robert Alexander who watched over her and helped her whenever she needed it. Irene was predeceased by her parents, Anna and John Koslowsky, as well as three sisters.

Irene was instrumental in co-founding the Union Hill Tenants Association, now Oak Hill CDC. Irene worked many years for “Bill’s Place” in Worcester. Irene also loved helping people, volunteering many hours of her time over the years for the Worcester County Food Bank, Friendly House and the Salvation Army, as well as at the YWCA where she taught crochet.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.in the Garden of Good Shepherd Section of Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Memorial remembrances in her name can be made to a charity of one’s choice. . The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester is assisting her son with arrangements.
