Subscription Update Obituary

     Irene M. (Santimore) Sansoucy, 84, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015.

Her husband A. Winn Sansoucy died in 1979. She leaves four children, Judith A. and her husband Philip J. Niddrie, Elizabeth W. and her husband, John F. McGovern, Mark D. and his wife Linda A. Sansoucy and Paul J. Sansoucy all of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Sarah Levy, Patrick McGovern, Cara Niddrie, Rebecca Niddrie, Rachael Niddrie, Robert Sansoucy and Trevor Sansoucy; two great-granddaughters, Olivia and Avery Levy; a brother, Andrew R. and his wife, Shirley Santimore of Worcester; a sister, Faith E. Kennedy of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews. Four brothers, Kenneth J. Santimore, Earl F. Santimore, Douglas A. Santimore and Clayton Santimore; five sisters, Doris B. Considine, Lucille J. Jacques, Blanche R. Lier, Jeannette Dion and Joan A. Nestle all predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Fred R. and Alice B. (Bernier) Santimore and graduated from Saint Peter’s High School.

Irene worked for the former Worcester City Hospital, prior to that she worked at the Cathedral of Saint Paul Outreach Program. She was a member of Saint Peter’s Church. Irene loved spending time with her family especially holidays and family cookouts. She was an avid New England sports fan, and until recently enjoyed wintering in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

The Funeral will be held Tuesday, August 4 from CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 10:30AM in Saint Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Monday, August 3 from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Seven Hills Foundation Family Services and Recreation Dept., 81 Hope Ave., Worcester, 01603.
