Irene M. (Sieniawski) DeCiccio, 91, of Worcester, died peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2014 in Holy Trinity Nursing & Rehab Center. Her beloved husband of 56 years, Anthony DeCiccio died in 2006.
She leaves two daughters, Julianne DeCiccio of West Boylston and Diane DeCiccio of Sterling; a son, Anthony DeCiccio Jr., of Brookfield; four grandchildren, Jason Morrison, Alicia Chabot and Michael and Ashley DeCiccio; a great-grandchild, Kaylea Morrison; a sister, Hedwig “Hedy” Chesna; and many loving brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister, Andrew, Mitchel and Zygmunt Sieniawski and Pauline Sieniuc. She was born and raised in Worcester, a daughter of the late Adam and Julia (Kawecki) Sieniawski.
Mrs. DeCiccio worked alongside her husband in the restaurant business in Worcester and Cape Cod for many years. The restaurants included the Cypress Room, the Captains Bridge and many other local establishments. Irene was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church who did volunteer work and was a respected member of her community.
The funeral will be held on Saturday January 3, 2015 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday January 2, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Irene’s memory may be made to Holy Trinity Nursing & Rehab Center Patient Activity Dept., 300 Barber Ave., Worcester, Ma., 01606.
