Holly A. (Jones) Moran, 65 of Sturbridge passed away peacefully Thursday, December 10th 2009 with her family at her side.
Holly was born March 20, 1944, in Worcester the daughter of the late Edward and Martha Jones. She grew up in Worcester, graduated from Classical High School, and has lived in Sturbridge for the past 20 plus years.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Moran and his wife Kim of Southbridge, Brian Moran and his wife Jessica of Heber City, Utah; her longtime companion James Daskowski; a grandson, Sawyer; and her trusted dog Simon; and many friends.
Holly worked as a senior toll collector for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority at Exit 9 station for 20 years before retiring in 2002.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Tuesday, December 15th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Funeral services and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O.Box 136, 111 Young Rd. East Brookfield, MA 01515.
