Subscription Update Obituary

Henrietta M. (Babin) Corey, 93, of 19 Simone St., died peacefully on Monday, March 5, 2007, in University Commons. She leaves her husband of 58 years, Earl Corey; three daughters, Theresa A. Evans and her husband Joseph of Milford, Rita P. Browne and her husband David of Worcester, Joyce Picard of Chicopee; a brother, Lionel Babin of Ventura, Cal.; three sisters, Theresa Shaw of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, Evelyn Lapointe of Worcester, Claire Girouard of Charlton; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Aimee Babin, Richard Babin, and two sisters, Bernadette Lapointe, Antoinette Bleu, and a grandson, Kevin Browne, all predeceased her.

Henrietta was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Willard and Emma (Fortier) Babin and lived in Worcester all her life. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and a former member of St. Joseph's Church. She enjoyed knitting, reading, crochet, and her doll collection.

A CALLING HOUR will be held from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., followed by A FUNERAL MASS at 11 a.m., in OUR LADY OF LOURDES CHURCH, 1290 Grafton St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. The family suggests donations in memory of Henrietta be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
